Nostalgia.

The weather was glorious, perfect for an outdoor catchup over tea and coffee while we wait for other friends to come around, followed by my sister with her friend. We biked around downtown the rest of the afternoon until the melodies started to strike for the evening fountain show after six. Rays of colorful, illuminated jet sways in sync to beautiful range of music, along the Burj lake.

I can go through nostalgic narratives with this photo that was taken five years ago, but I will let it speak to its coolness and lightness. (Except to note, that one in the middle had left us for the US a couple of years back and one soon to leave in the coming months.)

The time we’ve shared that day had less to do with how long we had known each other and more to do with how that pleasant joy made us feel.

If I could, I would have bottled the good feelings so I could pour them out as from a genie, whenever I need a dose of happy memories. 😊
