Having grown up in the third predominant Catholic country in the world and raised in the smallest town of Albay – Bacacay, BUT, is a cradle of priestly vocation in the region with an upsurge of 101 priests and 3 deacons, I profess that I am a Catholic devotee.
Religion is embedded deep among each one of us. But I don’t mind going and entering to different houses of faith. Being able to observe other rituals, learning others people’s beliefs, hearing stories and immersing through different cultures, I have discarded my own knowledge bubble and thrust into new situations beyond realms of my viewpoints.
Respect by all humanity is significant. And we shall be reminded that despite our differences, we all share the golden rule that binds all religions together.
At the end of the day, we are guided by the intention to be a good person. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
