Travel Tales · Turkey

Lovable Istanbul

Turkey before I turn thirty. That, I would always aim to tick but never had happened because of circumstances until I almost outgrew the hype.

Then came the chaos which queerly retrieved my fascination with this country’s deep-rooted history, culture and tradition that is translucently prevalent. I felt the need to go amidst the conflicts and riots. Before anyone knew, I had already booked my ticket via Turkish Airlines. I tried to let go any pre-conceived ideas, expectations or plans. Instead, I allowed myself to get lost in this unique and wondrous city and immersed myself in its sophisticated civilization. After all, this must be the essence of traveling.

Walking around, I gotta sample Istanbul’s classic street foods. The local vendors really know how to perfectly grill corn on the cob!

Nice yard to relish among old, historical walls and ancient masterpieces.

And yes, I still keep TL in my currency envelopes, which means, I’m definitely coming back ~ for more!
